Chicken Biryani

Chicken biryani is a pulao recipe that is usually made with spices and rice together where the Biryani is a widely popular dish especially around the Asian grounds because of its unique smell and flavorful identity.

This article introduces about all ingredients one by one and the cooking method of this popular dish step by step that are mentioned below gradually.



Ingredients:

Chicken pieces: 2 kg.
Pulao / basmati rice: 1 kg.
Chopped onion: 1 cup.
Ginger and garlic paste: 4-5 teaspoons.
Sour yogurt: 1 cup.
Chicken biryani masala ( Special powder of spices ) : 1 packet.
Ghee: 3-4 teaspoons.
Soybean / normal cooking oil: 1 cup.
Pepper powder: 1/2 teaspoon.
Cashew nut paste: 1 teaspoon.
Onion paste: 1/2 cup.
Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon.
Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon.
Salt: As taste.
Whole spices: Cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and bay leaves are as you wish.

Instructions:

First of all put the chicken pieces in a clean pot mixing it with sour curd, biryani masala and all other spices then leave it in rest for about 1 hour.

Heat oil in a pan and stir fry potatoes well, then heat oil in a separate pan adding onions with the whole spices and stir well then cook all the chicken pieces together.

When the chicken pieces are cooked remove them into another container putting the pulao rice here and fry well then add enough water as needed covering the cooking pot until the blocks are shown.

Once the water dries up a bit, stir the chicken using the same pot and keep cooking on low heat for some while then take it down to serve the delicious chicken biryani as you wish.

Note:

The quantities of above mentioned ingredients should be totally based on the exact quantity of chicken.
