Recipe To Chittagong's Traditional Beef Curry

Ingredients for mezbani beef curry chittagong:

Beef: 1 kg.

Cut almond paste: 1 tsp.

Cashew nut batter: 1 tsp.

Mustard paste: 1 tsp.

Coconut batter: 1 tsp.

Ginger paste: 1 tsp.

Garlic paste: 1 tsp.

Raisin batter: 1 tsp.

Tomato paste: 1 tsp.

Onion Chops: 1 cup.

Sour yogurt: 1 cup.

Large cardamom: 2 pcs.

Green cardamom: 4/5 pcs.

Cinnamon: 2/3 pcs.

Star: 2 pcs.

Pepper: 5 pcs.

Cloves: 5 pcs.

Soy sauce: 1 tsp.

Chili powder: 2 tsp.

Turmeric: Powder 1 tsp.

Coriander powder: 1 tsp.

Cumin powder: 1 tsp.

Jayatri: 1 pc.

Chili: 8/9 pcs.

Edible oil: 1 cup.

Mejbani Masala: 2 tsp. - (A kind of special spice).

Coriander leaves as a quantity.

Prepared Method - Mezbani Masala:

Heat a pan in the oven and add oil, when the oil is hot fry the whole spices and chopped onion, when the onion turns golden color cover the pan with meat for 3 minutes, after 3 minutes cover the pan again with salt for another 5/6 minutes.

Now cover with soya sauce and tomato paste for another 5 minutes but keep in mind that it does not stick to the bottom.

After 5 minutes, add turmeric, cumin, coriander and chili powder then cook with hot water for about 6/7 minutes.

After that add 3/4 cups of warm water with all the batter spices and cover the lid with light stirring in every now and then then reduce the heat of stove and wait for 10 minutes, when the oil rises add a cup of boiled and light hot water then keep stirring it slightly and cover the pan then leave it in the oven for about 40 minutes stirring it occasionally.

After 40 minutes sprinkle with the rest of the Mezbani spices and whole chilies then cover again and keep it in the oven for another 20 minutes then remove the pan from the oven dusting lightly with red chili powder.


The quantities of above mentioned ingredients should be totally based on the exact quantity of beef.
